Byron & Harold Bird Song Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2019

WA's intensely flavoured whites are justly revered. Here's one from the 'formidable partnership' (Halliday) of Byron & Harold, shimmering with glorious citrussy fruit on a long, lovely zesty palate. It's named after the native birdlife, whose sweet songs provide the soundtrack for the vignerons as they work. Take it out into the garden while you're watering the plants on warm summer evenings, or onto the balcony (with a big platter of prawns and oysters) as you watch the sun go down and listen to the birds' evening song.
