Bleasdale, still owned and tun by the Potts family has had 165 years of uninterrupted winemaking – and right now is at an all time high. Among many major awards, they’ve won the Jimmy Watson Trophy, Max Schubert Trophy, Halliday's Winemaker of the Year award the 2024 Halliday Wine Companion Awards 'Winery of the Year'. When first released Halliday suggested that this beautiful Langhorne Creek Syrah would need a year to relax and open up. It's had its 12 months and, Halliday is right again, it is drinking beautifully.

Wine Summary
High points galore and Gold. Knappstein is a famous name in the Clare Valley, and the estate has some wonderful mature vineyards to draw upon for its impressive wines. The zesty, lime juice Rieslings are a particular specialty of Knappstein, as you would expect of a winery from this world famous Riesling region! Made with estate vineyards from vines between 10 and 30 years old, it's a scintillating and zingy treat. A perfect match to fresh oysters. “The palate tingles with energy and acidity around a core bursting with flavour. This offers a lot for its price point, ” (Gabrielle Poy, The Real Review).

Wine Summary
Making this juicy yet savoury red blend came down to splitting hairs, as the winemakers at Zonte's Footstep tweaked the proportions of the blend in tiny one percent increments until the perfect balance was achieved. Through this meticulous process they discovered the exact point at which the juicy, fragrant Grenache (35%) just tames the savoury chewiness of the Tempranillo (65%). Matured in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels for up to 12 months. An aromatic nose of sweet raspberry and blue fruit with a lifted red floral perfume and whirls of jasmine and lavender. The palate is ripe and savoury with a melange of blueberry, plums and red currants leading the way with plenty of secondary threads following behind in the form of dried cranberry, pomegranate molasses and dark chocolate, along with an earthy, crushed wet gravel note. Deliciously drying Dutch-cocoa tannins. "Smooth and comfortingly delicious, the wine shows dark berry, assorted nut, clove and game notes on the nose. The palate displays gorgeously rounded mouthfeel and rich texture, wonderfully complemented by juicy fruit intensity and spicy nuances... 93pts" (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit).

Wine Summary
We’re thrilled to introduce the second vintage of Ruth’s Block Shiraz – a fine Barossa Shiraz made exclusively for us. Selected from the estate's Ebenezer vineyard, named in honour of the late Ruth Miles, mother of Peter Miles and wife of Brian Miles. As our buyer said on the wine's creation, “Having a winery the calibre of Irvine make a wine just for us is a big deal. Mostly because they don’t need to. They already sell everything they make. So when Irvine agreed, it was mostly because they like us.” It’s nice to be liked! And it means some exceptional wines for you – at extraordinary prices. Like this one right here. Irvine Estate is home to Barossa vineyards that date back to 1867. The estate is famous for its majestic Merlot but Irvine Estate is sending ripples around the industry with its old-vine Shiraz as well. Indeed, Irvine took home the Trophy for 'Best Barossa Shiraz' at the Barossa Valley Wine Show in 2017, ahead of BIG Barossa names like Teusner, Grant Burge, Peter Lehmann, St Hallett and Thorn-Clarke!

Sam Kim Wine Orbit finds it "delivers excellent focus and linear mouthfeel" plus "refined texture and bright acidity, leading to a persistent, captivating finish". Judges at Gilbert & Gaillard awarded it Double Gold and called it "Beautiful. For noble shellfish." We agree, it is a beauty and will certainly accompany fresh seafood excellently.

Wine Summary
Vinaceous is a dynamic, somewhat quirky enterprise utilising colourful names and labels and excellent fruit usually from Western Australia’s Margaret River and Great Southern. “The wines (from Vinaceous) are of seriously good quality and equally good value” says Halliday. This Grigio sourced from a single vineyard in Great Southern’s Mount Barker region has a delicate but complex nose with lovely aromas of ‘baked apple’ and pear skin, and a textural palate with lime-fruit hints.
