Wine Summary
Monterra (part of Field Day Wines) was formed by Canadian-born and raised (but long-term McLaren Vale resident) Norm Doole, here in partnership with Mike Farmilo and Nick Whiteway. The fruit for this Gold-winning Gris was sourced from the Adelaide Hills. “It's elegantly expressed with white flesh nectarine, ripe pear, lemon peel and floral notes on the nose, followed by a beautifully rounded palate offering juicy fruit flavours with fine texture and bright acidity. Pristine and youthfully charming, making it immediately appealing. 93pts” (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit).
